Thanks to all for the help. Now I have another question, I have a chance to buy a pretty nice set of 36 sedan fenders. Will they work for my coupe project or is there a difference?

There is a definate difference. Coupe fenders are wider and have different mounting holes and brackets than sedan, Pictures below are a coupe fender on the left and a sedan fender on the right, both 36 ford fenders.

Quote from: "stomlin"Hi all. I am a newbie here. I have just aquired a basket case 36 ford 3 window coupe and would like to chop it about 2-3 inches. I have some welding skills but don't know where to cut. Could anyone here help me with info or point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Robert
We have chopped a couple of 35 three windows....same body as the 36.
There are pictures of the chop on our website here------> http://fatfords.com/353winchop.htm
