Thanks for the input. I want to do the overdrive thing since im doing it for cruising. I havent decided about using fuel injection or a carb yet. I think injection looks cool, but carb has a "punch". This one is a keeper, so I dont want to change my mind half way down the road and kick myself.

Hey Guys,
I need a little help here. I want to do either an LS-1 or LT-1 in my 48 Ford. The problem iI have is that I want to use an overdrive transmission. I know that a 700r4 will work, but the x-frame has to be modified. What about using a 200r4? Will that fit without modifying the x frame? Any help is appreciated. Thanks and Happy pre-New Year.

Im building a 1948 ford super deluxe tudor. Its an all oroginal car with 89000 miles on it from kansas. If anyone has any buffing questions, Im a sales and Tech support person from www.lakecountrymfg.com. We are a manufacturer of automotive, aviation, rv buffing pad manufacturer. Ill be starting on the car in early spring. My goal is to do mustang ifs, r and p, lt1 with 200R4 overdrive for cruising across country with the family. Does anybody have any input on using a 200R4? I dont want to rework frame to fit 700R4. Thanks, all help is appreciated.

Good Morning everyone,
I was just introduces to this site by scrap FE. I just had my car delivered yesterday and looking to start building it in spring. Im from wisconsin, always been into cars (muscle).
