The block is a 1969 Chevy small block out of a 1969 Camaro. The sending unit feeds a Dakota Digital Electronic dash in a 1938 Chevy.

Hoping the stuff around the bolt is anti-freeze leaking from the water temp sensor. Can I use Teflon tape on the sensor to stop the leak? Chevy 350

It's a Dakota digital heater/A/C control...not billet specialties

AN OPTIONAL TRINARY SWITCH (V.A. PART# 11076-VUS) COMBINES HI/LO PRESSURE PROTECTION WITH AN ELECTRIC FAN OPERATION SIGNAL AT (254 lbs.) COMPRESSOR SAFETY SWITCHES ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT SINCE AN A/C SYSTEM RELIES ON REFRIGERANT TO CARRY LUBRICATION THROUGH THE SYSTEM.

GREAT!!! Thanks for the help. The A/C system is a Vintage Air Super Gen 2 with Defroster. It's in a 1938 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. I'm using the Billet Specialties A/C control. Picture of the car below

Rodder's Roundtable / Electrical Question
July 05, 2013, 06:27:14 PM
I just got my A/C charged. It works good. I also have two electric fans on my car. One fan comes on when I start the car. The other fan is supposed to come on when I turn on the A/C. The system also has a trinary switch. One wire on the trinary switch goes to the compressor. (Vintage Air System) Another wire on the switch goes to power (I believe) I also have a relay..(see picture) with 4 wires, red, green, blue, and blue/white. My thinking is that 2 wires on the relay got to the two remaining wires on the trinary switch and 2 wires go to the fan. Based on the fact that the fan plug has 2 wires, and one side of the fan plug has a + sign on it, I'm thinking the red and green wires go to the fan plug and the other two wires on the relay go to the trinary switch. Does this sound correct as far as how the fan, trinary switch, and the relay might be wired in so the second fan comes on when I turn the A/C on? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Quote from: "jaybee"Any of the hotels near the Des Moines airport are reasonably priced and it's a safe neighborhood. That's my part of town and I'd walk around by myself after dark with no worries.

You know, after I posted that, I got to thinking about the "safe" comment. I really didn't mean to imply that Des Moines wasn't safe. I know that here in Albuquerque, the area around the state fair grounds isn't the best part of town and I wouldn't recommend any motels/hotels in that area. But thank you for the information. We'll be in a pickup with a 20ft enclosed trailer with the car in it. Right now, the have us scheduled for Saturday afternoon/evening. Again, thank you for the information.

Rodder's Roundtable / Looking to ship a car

Thank George. I'm not putting ANY money toward shipping. We had the car shipped out here in 2001. I'm not even sure if the buyer paid this shipper yet. I just know the shipper has a broken down truck in Ohio and the car sits here. Just trying to see if I can get the buyer a name or number to help him out. We met him after he bought the car and he's like me. Just a nice guy.
Thanks

Need just a bit of help here. I sold a car on eBay to a guy who lives outside of Detroit. I live in New Mexico. The guy used some kind of bidding service for the shipper to get the car from me to him. Well, long story short, the shipper isn't even returning calls now. Anyone know of any enclosed trucks heading east through New Mexico (Albuquerque) to the motor city???? Maybe someone has the name of a good shipper
