Hoping the stuff around the bolt is anti-freeze leaking from the water temp sensor. Can I use Teflon tape on the sensor to stop the leak? Chevy 350

It looks like sealer on the bolt. Don't use tape on the sensor, use a liquid sealer. Tape can interfere with the ground.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

hylomar. will seal it and allow the ground...

a single or double wrap of teflon will seal it but you will have to tighten it fairly tight.. to get thru the teflon..

and when i say a SINGLE or DOUBLE wrap.. does not mean 6 times around..  sorry... i have seen that done.

is that the imported application coolant temp sensor i found that works with early GM gauges when the hole in the head is not 1/2" NPT.. but 3/8..

The block is a 1969 Chevy small block out of a 1969 Camaro. The sending unit feeds a Dakota Digital Electronic dash in a 1938 Chevy.

I'm thinking head bolt sealer too. Nice engine picture. Now we need to see the rest.
