Carnut,
Thanks for the pictures. The green one with the pickup box is close to the look I want. Just don't like green.

I looked at that green one for a while. You need more parts. I think it has pickup fenders on it. The front ones match the back ones. The back ones match the bed. It looks to me like the wheel radius is smaller than what you have and the fenders on the green one don't match any of the other examples pictured. I started looking because at first glance that bed made me think of that 9' Chevy/GMC bed I was talking about  but the fenders on it fit so well and they match the fronts. I need to spend more time building my project than on yours. GPster

i don't think the customer would like me parting out his truck;)

but it appears to be new, as in not as old as the rest of the truck.
even has "dodge" embossed in the tail gate.
i guess what i'm saying is the stuff is out there...
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it\'s still on my list

So,
See what you can find out about the bed.
Thanks,
Don

I believe the louvers on the lower fenders of the green truck come from a late 40's fargo truck. Good eye GPster, those fenders are a bit smaller in the wheel opening. I liked that green one best but couldnt figure out why untill you pointed that out.

Carnut

Both Dodge and Fargo in the 40's pickups had those ridges on the fenders.

So did the Plymouth trucks.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

a little sideways on this thread...

i ran across this by accident....

i noticed this guy was/is using a 700r4 behind a 3.9 isuzu diesel...

and i found he used a 2006 crown vic front suspension under his ford pickup...   might be something to look at for trucks.

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/716058-buildup-06-crown-vic-front-suspension-into-67-f100.html

i have not gone all the way through this...  but there were various pics scattered through the thread...

again .. just a thought,......

Very good find! Excellent read. Wonder how that front end would be in a COE?
