Late '70's I believe.  I'm not ready to part with it yet.  It just got painted shiny black and is looking great.  I thought maybe you could do something McGeiver-ish and attach the new lever to the current column.  You going to Indy?  Perhaps I can show you then.

Looking for old good for nothing flathead heads to use for garden project.

Well, I can repair it I am sure. I have a ton of parts from that era for GM columns, and can replace what ever it needs to fix it. I was asking to see what type lever it has. If it's the lever with a groove and pin on the end that fits in the column, it's just a matter of getting the old one out. If it's flat with a screw, and the dimmer switch in the column, it may need the piece it fits into replaced.
