Any suggestions on a GOOD intake for  a 302 Ford. I thought of Edelbrock with Endura-Shine but heard bad reviews. Want something easy to maintain. :?

Okiedokie

I have an Edelbrock on the 302 in my F100 and a Weiand on my 46 coupe. Neither are coated. The only real difference to me is that the Weiand has two bungs into coolant jackets allowing for a temp sender and a fan sender if you want electric. The edelbrock does not. Don't know if Weiand offers a coating on theirs. Joe

Just buy an uncoated one, and have it silver powder coated.

I painted my edelbrock orange.  I've talked with some who have painted theirs with clear, and it turnded a lot darker than they wanted.

Need more info. Do you want single four, low rpm, high rpm, 2 carbs, etc.

I've got a "never been run" Weiand Action Plus single 4bbl manifold for a 302 that I'll sell for $100 if you're interested.  I painted it a bright silver single stage urethane.  I can post a pic or send you one if you want.

I bought it to put on my van when I rebuilt the engine but didn't want to mess with the AOD TV linkage stuff so I never used it and put the stock carb and manifold back on.

I bead blasted an intake for my 34 and then used duplicolor hi temp clear and it looked nice and stayed nice..

UGLY OLDS

We too did the bead blast & high temp clear on the Edelbrock Performer for the Olds & the Perfomer in the Kidds car..Both still look good  10 & 6 years later respectively.. ...I found the performer is a nice combination torque / horsepower manifold for the street...It's all done by about 5500 RPM , but how ofter are you buzzing your engine that fast on the street  ???

It's just stock '78 --302 bored .030 over, now real H.P. giant. Probably only run a 500 carb on it.
