The motor was bought new by a third party.  It had been in his shop for some time before it was bought and put in this car.  It either got the water in it during shipment from GM or while it was in his shop.

Will probably prove to be "no big deal" but not very confidence inspiring. I worry way too much about stuff like that anymore.
