Son brought home some old tools a old guy gave them to him that was going to a old folks home. Some of the sockets have numbers on them, my guess British!

Carps

They look like plumbers tools and sockets.

Pretty neat no matter what thay are.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift.

thats what i thought also... like faucet stem sockets.. except those are not hollow....

the handle looks like it ratchets ....

i would think some farm tractor  or implement from the early part of the last century... (i mean like 1900 to 1920.)

Q: any markings..     other than the numbers.....

rooster

There some letters accross the top what looks like "PiCK-UP PAT D", or maybe "Fick-GR Pat D". Hard to say for sure! I though the numbers on the sockets would tell us something. Will make a good conversation piece Christmas day at the gathering.

ok... so now we know it is for a pick up  and that is was patented... but how old a pickup uses square bolts also...  perhaps we have not been thinking large enough... i might have been derailed in my thoughts of size...or perhaps of scale...am i just steaming about this...
