Rear suspension what and why?

Ok heres the million dollar question.

What rear end would you use in a deuce?
4 bar, triangulated 4 bar, ladder bars? Charley you can go first!! :D
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

Boy, there's a loaded question. Here's my choice in preference order:

1. Cross spring with ladder bars
2. Parallel leaves
3. Cross spring with three or 4 link - parallel or triangulated - your choice
4. Quarter elliptics with upper links
5. Coil overs

Kinda in order of works best/pleasing to not pleasing. I'm just not a big coil over fan.

I wasnt looking so much at the cross spring setup, but i am going to look a little closer....I sure do like the ladder bars to....Look easier to setup, and the cost is very very reasonable, Less parts to wear out to.... :D

None of the above ...  :)
I prefer coils springs with a 4 bar set up.




Without the coil springs installed ( springs @ the powder coaters )



Coil springs  back from the powder coaters ...  :D

I use coil springs from a Vega or a Monza ... there are 8 different rates from GM ... I have the lightest spring rate under the 32 Roadster and moved up one step for the 32 3W ...

These springs are uncut ... and the 3W rides great ... so does the roadster.



This setup also leaves more room for exhaust pipes than some of the other types. If you think about it ... a Vega or Monza weighs almost the same exact weight as a 32 coupe or roadster ... so the spring rate is real close ...

Coils aren't a bad choice by any means. Your adaptation looks real nice.

By the way, got that running board bracket Saturday. Nice one. Thanks again.
