... came with my '54 F-100, now, four years in my stable. It has the two button switch on my keychain and has stopped working. Battery has been changed.

I can feel the solenoids in the back part of the door frame and the wire that tugs on the catch that holds us shut. The button under the dash will open the doors from the inside... but I have to reach inside from without to gain access.

Is there some little radio gizmo in there somewhere that triggers the solenoids? What would it look like? Where would it likely be found?

I just finished a major tuneup on the old Y block and am a bit weary, thinking I could jump on the door openers with some hints from you guys and gals.

Thanks. himmelberg

Should be a small remote unit about the size of a pack of smokes. Might have a blown fuse that feeds the box. Check your fuse panel or it might have a fuse wired in line to it. Probably under the dash somewhere.
