Remember Unique Performance, builder of Eleanor Super Snake Mustangs, Year One 1st gen Camaros, and Chip Foose late model Mustangs?  It all looked a little too good to be true when they were on Rides acting like some kind of big shots.  Now they've filed Chapter 7 and some of their customers will be out up to $200,000.  And yet apparently they were still running a booth at SEMA last week.  More here:

With all the bankruptcies taking place the last few years, and the customers getting the short end, maybe it's time for some cheap cement overshoes for some of these slimeballs.

Just last week those pricks called and asked for another 75K
Good thing he couldn't come up with the dough.
How low can you get when you know you're going *-up and you are still soliciting for money.
By the way I broke the news to him after I read it on the net.

Latest news on this front is that the local police have seized 61 Mustangs (mostly in pieces) from their facility.  They are suspected of rebuilding stolen cars and fitting them with VIN plates from cars that aren't stolen but are too far gone to rebuild.  Maybe they should bring one to my house.  I don't seem to have any sense when it comes to thinking I can rebuild something that's already too far gone.
