Is there a list any where that would tell me how to check a sensor for resistance to see if it's good? This would be like the inlet air temp, engine temp, bap sensor. If it makes any difference, this is on the 5.0 Ford system.

I had a bad coolant temp sensor. I checked it with a VOM and it was open (no resistance).  Do you have a check engine light on ? If so just replace the temp sensor. I got one at Autozone for $11.99.

one thing, if the air temp sender is in the intake manifold, fpull the sucker out and clean it with some spray carb cleaner 1st.
seldom see a bad one....
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it\'s still on my list

Both the temp sensors read about 35 ohms at room temp (at least mine do) and the MAP (bp on a MAF system) sensor output is an AC signal that has to be read with a scope.  The frequency of it varies with the pressure.
