rear disc interchange question

picking up an iron trailer, er, parts car and.....




are the rear disc brakes off the back of a 91 grand marquis (crown vic) adaptable to a 9" the way explorers are?
looks like it's an 8.8 rear.... has a 4.6l in front of it (with a bad rod knock)

Depending on what size the axle bearing is, yes. They are probably large bearing. My deal was a small bearing off a Mark 6 lincoln. I had to make a spacer for each side to make up the difference in the caliper mounts versus a drum brake backing plate. They were around 3/16" thick. Other than that, it was a bolt on. axle spacing was just right.
