Yeah, a t bucket frame, and maybe a small stake bed behind to keep the theme of the C cab.  No fenders, bigs and littles, and not much else.

These always make a cool ride IMO.

If memory serves me right you have the makins of a clone of the first NSRA Nationals give away car/truck.  I'll have to look back in my real old Street Scene Mags.  I think it was built by the Minnesota Street Rod Association and given away at the Nats, maybe Detroit.

I'd go clear back to the '60 and do something entirely different to make it a runner. But then you have something to drive (and a blue truck). Put it on a VW pan. I've seen it done wher you can take the torsion bar front end and put it together backwards to make the wheels stretch out in front of the bars. That would give you some protection for a grill shell and because the "pan" is narrow inthe front it probably wouldn't hang out from underneath hood sides. Also the "pan" would have numbers on it so it would just be a re-bodied VW. Under a flatbed there would be room for the gas tank and battery between the back of the cab and the engine. Looks like fun. GPster

Combination stakebody/displaycase/pegboard bed for the back. Bear with me, I'll explain why... :?

The stakebody can hold large screw in type hooks for hanging lawn chairs on.
The pegboard can hold different assortments of tie-down straps for cars being transported in trailers, and can also hold rolls of different vinyl mark-off tapes like "caution", "keep out" or "power parking only".
The display cases can hold many types of gold chains in various lengths and qualities.

Stock up and hit the big shows. You'll sell enough to pay for the parts you need to really fix it up...

Otherwise, a Munster coach with brahma bull horns on the radiator, and the sprint car headers that are turned up just behind the cab into chrome stacks just above the roof.
