Would you buy this car?

I went to buy a new toy and I always check the vin,to be sure it matches the title. But this one is off 1 didgit,it's on the sequence number.
The number on the door post matches the title,and all the fenders,hood,ect. have the same number as the title,But the vin plate is off by one.
It has all the documantation from california,from when it was new till now.It now is registured in Illinois,with a clear title. This guy has had it for a few 3or 4 years. but I have to have it inspected when i get it back to Ohio.
The car is an old mans Jag,an xj6,with a bad motor,but I want to put a efi 302 & aod out of my old mark vll in it.
The body is mint.
Do I pass on it or buy and try to get an Ohio title?

Get him to straighten it out. It won't fly in ohio, no matter how much documentaion you have.
