I also have difficulty seeing my welds in artificial light, it's an age thing. Using a drop light sometimes works, but if it causes your auto helmet to darken your hosed. I've thought about a mini maglight holder on the side of the torch, but haven't done anything about it. Mostly I just whine when I run a nice bead 1/8" from where it belongs.
