I posted this on the "BBQ build day" post earlier but moved it to here because it screwed up all
the other posts....something about the picture size that I need to figure out.

What a great day!  The weather was the best day we've had so far this spring, the people were
the best and we busted our butts.....and some of Frank's tools.  It don't get much better than that.
I'm usually sneaking pictures all the time but I got so involved with what was going on that
I only took a few.

We do need to get together on another day...or two to continue the build and I'm looking forward
to being there.
There were a lot of ideas tossed around.  I think the finished trailer is really going to
be something.  Stay tuned for part II :D

Here's a sampling of pictures.

Seems a little strange to start out with a picture titled "Taking a break" but this is the RRT.
We really did do a lot of work....honest.
The trailer is upside down and KustomLincolnLady's husband Rob was finishing up on the rear
roll pan.

Denise welding

Checking her welds

Jim (SKR8PN)  and Joe (GPster) opening the keg.  I'll have to remember this method next time
the tapper at a party takes a dump.

The trailer with half the top setting on it.  The two halves of the top are hinged on the edge and
will flop out to make tables on each side of the trailer.

This shows the roll pan Debb's husband, Rob made.

The corn boiler/turkey cooker/hotrod stewpot/hot tub.  A really cool hubcap would make a nice lid.
Opps....I'm letting little design secrets out...

Rudy (roadstar) drove his '40 (VooDoo Child).....a truly beautiful car!

And last but not least....Shelby (Hotrodgirl) was riding this really cool bike around all day and I
didn't think to take a picture until late last night.  Fat Cat made it for her 10th birthday last month.
She's really proud of it. This picture doesn't really do it justice

I was wondering what a bunch of Northerners would try to pass off as a BBQ.  I have to admit that it looks pretty good so far...

First of all. I could be working for those guys as soon as tomorrow if I want. So they don't scare me. Second, you don't know where I live.

And finally I could make it much much worse

Yes, there are Polish hitmen.  Just the other day they found a couple of guys with their heads tied together and shot thru the hands.

I had such a good time working on the BBQ Saturday.

Frank has a beautifully equiped garage witch made fabbing parts a breeze.

I had a chance to meet a few more of the people I have only read about  . And we might have to have a cut off on guys named Frank :P .

Charlie drove through a rain storm that i just missed, oh darn. He is a real hotrodder.

George, Thanks for the new avitar.

I'm looking forward to our next get togeather.

Im experimenting trying to post bigger pics!!  here goes.

I was going to say that from the look of that trailer I need to find a way to attend an RRT barbeque in the future, but I don't like the thought of getting shot with bullets or arrows either one, and I'm getting a little old to think getting tied-up could be a good thing.

Besides, when I was kid my nicknames included "hamburger", "cheeseburger" and "hotdog".  With hitmen in attendance, I'd be afraid of landing on the menu.

Yahoo Maps says:

Distance: 2420.7 miles
Approximate Travel Time: 37 hours 14 mins

From my house to Swanton, Ohio.  Will the bbq trailer ever be much closer?
