Does anyone know what's involved in changing the idler pulley
on a '90ish Caravan V6 ? The alignment is off enough that you can
see it,and it eats belts every 6 months.Might be worn out,or
might have got damaged during an engine swap.

So the question is,how to change it ?

Thanks.

if it's a 3.3 or 3.8, there's a 15 mm nut on the backside, underneath, that holds it on.

You got that right........and it isn't the idler.....it is the tensioner.  8)

3.3

Yeah, it's my beater van.  The factory where I work will sometimes emit flyash from the coal fired boiler, and it's hell on paint.  When I drive the van, I don't worry about moving it to the other parking lot.  And it gets better mpg than the ranger.  That truck tire I picked up the other day sure did fill in the backend on the van.

Then I'll have to defer to one of the others, I am not familiar with a 3.3
