AOD ID?

Picked up a rebuilt Ford AOD transmission and torque converter out of the local mullet wrapper this week for $100.  The guy got it and had it rebuilt to put in his Ford pickup but traded in the truck before he got around to it.  Anywho, it has a large "57" at top front of the trans.  Is that enough to ID what it came out of, or at least the year, or do I need to keep looking for other numbers? Thanks
