Quote from: "kb426"Nice car. Why does it have extra doors?

There has got to be someone out there selling a T-shirt that says  "Nice Car.... FOR a 4 door!"  If not I need to print one !   :D

The truth be told, 4-drs fits my personality...  I have an old soul, personality wise, I have been an old man since I was about 8 years old. It works for me, an old man in an old man car.  Plus 4-drs are WAY cheaper to buy

I also have three sons who like to go with me for rides!
Would plastic be okay for you today?

Quote from: "40"Welcome! Looks like a nice, comfortable old ride! What do you need for parts....A local fellow just contacted me today....he has a 2dr 58 project and a 4dr parts car he wants me to look at.

YEAH, Thanks for the heads up.  I will PM you with specific needs.  I need/want a bunch of little stuff mainly interior stuff.  I also have extras if anyone wants to trade

When I was looking for a car to street rod, my friends told me to look at 2-door cars because they were more popular to build. So I bought a 2-door '40 Chevy and I like it, but when I see another friend with a 4-door version of the same car and see how practical it is...almost wish I had a 4-door.

Welcome to the RRT. That's a sharp looking car.

A street rod is a vehicle made before 1949 that is modified with modern stuff: bigger motors; newer trans; updated suspension, front & rear; a/c.
Following is a street rod plus definition: No known definition because it changes.

Just another old bull from Michigan, Ken
Some people try to turn back their odometers
Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I\'ve traveled a long way and some of the
roads weren\'t paved.

Quote from: "jusjunk"Welcome.. There is a wealth of knowelege here. We also have a couple of guys you gotta watch out for but I wont name any names   Hang around .. We have a lot of fun here.....
Dave

Welcome aboard the board. :D

Like Dave said, we have fun, alot of knowledge, and there are a couple
fellers here ya gotta be wary of.......one of them lives in Florida...........
and the other one moves around alot, but usually he calls Michigan home

Hey, Welcome aboard, and nice looking ride.  It sure is a nice change from those obsolete dime a dozen plastic 32 roadsters and Blue 34 Cuban made coupes.

And I'm not the one from Florida they are referring to. I'm the nice, quietly polite laid back guy who never bothers anyone... :D
Really...

But that guy in Michigan that can't even throw a rock at the ground and hit it...But yet tries to hunt deer by knocking the wind out of them...He's one of the trouble makers. If there's any deer wheezing in Southern Michigan, it's because Dave shot it... ~:)
And that Sheep chasing dude in Texas with the Official Smurfmobile...He's another one to keep an eye peeled for. He gets excited just walking past wool sweaters in Wal-Mart...He buys his boots in EEEEE width, so there's room for the hooves too...
