well some of you know about my little run of luck this summer. i won a little cash in wendover and at the Hamb drags i won the giveaway motor.
today was the first day of goodguys scottsdale and i put my ticket in the barrelat 11:30ish with the next drawing at noon. so as i walked up at 12:00 they were just writing the winners down, they then posted them. lo and behold my name was on the list. i took a few minutes looking at the list of prizes. as my truck is just about ready for tires that is what i chose, a set of Goodyear tires.

Goodyear is in a labor dispute with a union.  I would be concerned with tire quality at this point.

Jim, I got to watch a Million Dollar Man at work yesterday.  One of the mechanics at the ol' nuke Plant won Seven Mil in the Florida Lottery and he's still working.  The numbers came to his wife in a dream.  Wonder if they'll sell me that pillow.

:P  I believe that there is only so much luck out there.  Winning a motor, or a set of frame rails, or even a give away car would be nice.  But I'd rather save my quota of raffle luck for the multi-state mega power ball jackpot.   Been trying for years so my turn is getting close.  Who knows, a hot rod hottie may rub on me some day and that will make all the difference.  Certainly worth a try.

several years ago........  I was trying to locate a noise in the front end of my 71 truck.

It was sorta near dark. After crawling out from under the truck, I backed the truck up a bit to listen for the noise.

I heard a crunch..... "WTF  was that?" I thought.

So , the next day i bought a new cell phone.

A couple of years ago I was slashing the grass in the bottom paddock with the tractor when my phone slipped out of my pocket, down the guard and onto the grass and of course under the slasher. The only thing that was untouched was the sim card (found it eventually  ), even the batteries were chopped to little pieces. Slipped the card into another phone and away we go again.
Im nobody, right?

I've heard of a few people who won a bunch of money and kept on working. If I were ever lucky enough to hit the lottery, you would find me sitting on some faraway island sipping fine wine.  I like my job, but...................

Hey Jim, if you keep this up Ken will want a cut in the action.  After all, your luck has been pretty good ever since you rubbed his head for luck that night in the casino in Wendover.....just before you hit the $1000 pull on the slot. 8)

I'll have to drive over to see Ken's new shop and if I happen to rub his head it don't mean nothin'.....I ain't superstitious

at my work place we used to do the group lotto tickets thing......

I often mentioned that all they would see is my shiny white hiny going out the door if we hit a large jackpot.

ALTHOUGH........ the fellow that was suppose to buy the all of the lotto tickets was fired 2 yrs ago for theft / embezzlement  from the company
