John Loper of Arizona has passed

I heard this morning that John Loper of Lopers Performance in Phoenix AZ  has passed away.

John was very active in the gasser wars on the drag strips years ago.  He is usally remembered for his  Anglia,  a fast car & well known

Very sorry to hear of another legend passing away. That drag strip in the sky is getting bigger all the time.

I remember him from when I lived out there. A real Shame.

Sad to here about Johnny. I knew he had been sick for some time. I talked to him many times at BeeLine and his shops. Here's a picture i took from 1966 at a Beeline match between Johnny Lopers Anglia and Big John Mazmanians Willys. Hope they show up.                                John
