I have added a blog to the front of the site. I am planning to make posts to it weekly. So check it out.

I checked it out , but I dont get it. What is its purpose? I dont know what a blog is, or what its for.

Blog is short for weblog.  Think of it like a diary or journal of your views, thoughts, etc.
