Well Andrew had a good season even if it ended early last night.  He was forced into the gaurd rail in turn one and tore up the car bad enough that it is not repairable, and with one night of racing left next Saturday for the championship race.  It kinda sucks he wont make the last race but the main goal was to have a good time and not get hurt his first year. We did have the best time of our lives and will be back next season with another car to start the fun allover again with mom and dad in tow!!!  He did get bumbed up some in this wreck but he says he's ok,(right leg and ankle).  He only missed one night when he took his sweety to her prom and has second place nailed down with nobody close that can take it away so next week we will relax in the stands and enjoy seeing all the races for a change, ya kinda miss some of the close ones being in the pits getting your car ready for the heat and feature races and helping some close friends with their cars in between.  All in all it was a blast and the new friendships that were made reminds me of all of you super folks from here that we have met and the ones we hope to meet in the future!!!  Boy it don't get any better than that!!!   Catch ya all later,

Good deal no one hurt and a year less one race ...
Love a good  race team....... I by default ended up driving a latemodel on the dirt for a season. I had the time of my life but with a small kid i knew i couldnt afford it. Ended up going in a different direction then later in life i wrenched a pavement sprint (after a few dirt cars).
Good luck to your son for the future.......

Better that it happened one race from the end of the season than one from the beginning!Tell Andy congrats on his successful first year!

Thanks for the kind words Dave,Vance, and Daryle!  Andrew says THANKS too  It was the best time Andy and I had together since he was born and I wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world.   It just would have been a little more enjoyable to finish the season and race in the Tiny Lund Memorial Race in three weeks but there is next year.  The guy that took him out has been a thorn in everyones side that is in the class and needs to learn how to drive a clean race, he has damaged more cars each week but seems to get by with it.  He has hit Andy several times before but we've been lucky enough to fix it back, but this time was a no go, got the frame twisted and broke in the right front , bent strut, tore the upper a arm completly out, radiator is junk plus the front clip sheet metal .  Luck would be with us as Andy bought another car just like it a month ago that will be his car for next year and we can salvage some of the parts from the wrecked one to keep for spares so we'll be good to go for next year.  It just makes it a little harder to load it on the trailer for the ride home when they are busted up,  but that is what makes the world go around.  I think the best part is Andy let's me pound the dents out most times.  Thanks again guys!!!     Bill and Andrew

I don't understand why they feel like they need to take everyone out.

Bummer, but it sounds like you had a lot of fun and a good season.  It's really great that you and Gail are part of the team.  Win or lose, you'll be back next year. :D
