i need to ID this double pumper i've got.
air horn has been shaved so no "list" number...
can we do this with throttle plate bore size?
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it\'s still on my list

EMSjunkie

probably.
its a double pumper right?
does it have side hung or center hung floats?
I'm gonna assume its mechanical secondaries, since its a double pumper.
does it have a secondary metering plate, with no jets, or does it have a metering block with jets?

if ya get a chance, measure the throttle plate bore and let me know, I can look in my "Big Book of Holleys" and see what I can find.

Why do I feel like Rodney Dangerfield all of a sudden :?

between the two of you, I don't stand a chance

according to my "book" and, yes, it has pictures,   ,
it should be an 800 cfm, or possibly an 850, if it has center squirters.

but that rebuild kit mentioned earlier should work.

since the air horn is shaved off, it must be a racin' carb.

hope that helps.

book may be wrong as i've got a 850 DP that's NOT butchered up that has quite a bit bigger bores.....

one of the reasons i want to id this thing is that the throttle plate has been JB welded abd i'd like to replace it although it looks like a pretty * good job of fixin'....

Maybe because you are fat, bald, and have no discernable talent? Or maybe there are other reasons too. Do you look like him also, or is that hoping for too much?

Sorry Dave, went back and looked again, this time with my glasses on

its a 650..............guess I was 1 line off.......... :(

I wouldn't trust a JB welded base plate.    did they overthighten the mounting bolts? I have broken off a mounting tab once or twice.
got a little "ham handed" tightening it down. :x

I think I have a 650 out in the shop.....somewhere.....lemme look today, if I do, I'll measure mine and get back to you.

OK, took my meds, got out the bi-focals, and read again,
it could possibly be a 700 or 730 CFM also., they all used the same base plate. but then again, my book is about 20 years old, so the info may or may not be accurate. :?

guess I need to update my library.
