Someone is selling our hard work on Ebay.

Was pointed there by a concerned viewer. This one even went so far as to use images right from our site. Why do they insist on making me work so hard. Especially for something we have given away freely.

I remember reading about this wheeling machine here on the RRT and thought what a great idea, and was happy that the person who built it was happy to share his knowlage here on the forum with his fellow members.
Now thats just down right rude that someone could sell this idea and plans on ebay for a profit, what a lowlife

So what do you do in this case, Frank?

I was going to say that the least he could do is inform the bidders that the info was ripped off and is available for free.   But then I see that the same guy bid on and won two of the auctions.  He even left good feedback on one of them.  He can't be too bright since he bought the same information twice...duh?! :?

Not if you know where to look!  How nice of him to make money off something you were willing to donate to the metalworking community!

Unethical, yes. Illegal, no. There isn't much you can do about it,  infortunately. Some people have no shame.

Actually you are wrong. It is illegal. If you look at every page on this site there is a copyright notice on the bottom of every one. The mire fact that it is available to you via electronic format is not to be dismissed. It was published just the same as any book or magazine you have ever read. I therefore own the intellectual rights to the pages. There are some pages on this site that I do not own the rights to. Those pages are ones submitted to me for inclusion in the Tech section that were written by a member of the site. I am using them with permission.

In the past I have had to submit a challenge with Ebay and then prove that I am the rightful owner of the property being sold on Ebay and it gets removed. I then watch the seller for about a year to make sure that they are not waiting a few months and trying again.

They are actually using images that were taken in Enjenjo's garage, with my camera. I am the legal copyright owner of that image. In Ebay's rules that it considered stolen property. I actually have the right to sue under international law. But I would have to do it in England. It would not be worth my time or expense to persue it. But I can be a Royal pain in the keyster. Just to make it not worth his time.
