Roothawg on the HAMB sez---at the NSRA SW NATS. Apparently 2 high profile car owners from Kansas are going to the OKC pokey. They were caught shoplifting from vendors and when they went to their cars, they had made several hundred trips through the vendors booths cause they had the motherlode in their cars. They also found quite a load of illegal narcotics to boot.

I saw the police cars on the circle and that they had someone in the cars but I did not know what was going on.  Did not see Root either.  We just got home.  1 FAT GMC will be here tomorow as we are putting a transmission in his vehicle.  Perfect weekend weather.  Had a great time.

That doesn't sound like he is having the greatest of times.

It let go at speed on the Oklahoma turpike with him just ahead of me.  I just washed all the transmission fluid off of my old truck.   We should have him taken care of and on the road tomorrow.

It was great meeting you Sam and Sumner. You guys take any pictures? I brought the camera, but didnt really find much worth shooting. I did take time to check out how a few were wired though.

Anyway, didnt find much worth taking a pic of, till we were almost out the gate. And in came a 30ish (28-31) coupe, that was super chopped and channeled, with slicks on the back, and the shifter sticking through the hole in the roof. It was similare to the T coupe with the  silver stickers in the rear window that kept driving the grounds the entire time I was there.

Am I missing something? Or did Sam just copy what I just posted and not add any message?

He called earlier and told me he was having trouble posting.

We are about ready to put a transmission back in to Sumners car.  We may wait until morning.

First off, I had a great time meeting fellow roundtablers and shootin the bull.

At about 6:30 on Sat. night two cars were loaded on tiltbed trucks and escorted out by OK's finest.  So I presume the theives cars were impounded.  I hope their facility is beter watched than the ones here.

But as Baretta would say "dont do the crime if you cant do the time."

Per the HAMB, one of the theives name is Larry Mumford from Topeka, KS.  Here's a shot of his "old" ride.   Sure hope they sentence him like they would do a drug dealer.  If your found to have purchased "things" with drug money, they take said "things" and sell them and use the money for drug prevention.  In this case I'm sure there's stolen parts used to build that car.  The car should be sold and the money used for a good hot rod cause.

Some of the HAMB guys really crack me up

Your topless crusn buddy, Denise

Looking for old good for nothing flathead heads to use for garden project.

I have seen that car around a lot the last few years. It's a nice one, but................Hang'em high!
