BOOM !!!

1999 Dodge Durango,5.9 engine,auto trans. This used to be a transfer case.
Result of a bad u-joint in the front drive shaft.
Customer SWEARS it only vibrated a couple of times.........AND....
It NEVER made a SOUND!
The picture of the skid plate is just as I removed it.
Believe it or not,I actaully DROVE this into my shop!

Leak oil?  Let's just say he wont have to worry about the floor rusting out anytime soon............

One time I thought I'd spotted a nice flat place where I could turn around.  Instead I dropped the front axle into a snow covered ditch and stopped immediately.

It split the transfer case in half and destroyed the CV joint in the front driveline.  That was the 1970 Blazer that stars in some of my best car trouble stories.

I often see cars on the road that I wish I owned instead of whatever I'm driving.  One day I saw a Blazer and thought I need one of those!  Then I realized I was driving its twin...
