It's my '95 Camaro shaft. What are my options with it?

That is about the same year of my column. It was really easy. I drew a picture and text in MS PAINT to explain it.

Any GM column I have ever shortened all I did was shorten the outer tube  and pushing the main shaft in. They have been collapsable for about 35 years.

Not all GM columns are collapsible. And the ones that are, will only move 4 to 6" then stop, and you no longer have a collapsible column.
