Friend had a crazy ideal to try for the Autorama this weekend. Painted a set of tires with Red Onmi paint to match the interior of the car. During set up people would stop by and scratch their heads and wonder what the tires were. One guy even said to his friend "I remember seeing colored tires like that somewhere for sale. Really looks like a over size hot wheels car.

Another interesting thing about this car is the body was Made in China. It is steel. When Joe bought it it was somewhat smooth. Had it blasted to clean it up and it was full of bondo. It looked like it had the measles with all the bumps it had. Took a lot to smooth it back out. That's why the Made in China plate on the back.

So what do you all think??

Different. Does he know when the body was imported? Never heard of a China made  repop.
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying. "Wow...that was fun!"

It may not be a repop??  Ford has been in China for many decades.

They make several colors of tires for sport bikes. I read in SEMA news last week that Kumho makes colored tires so your burnout smoke is colored.

Looks good.  Believe it or not, but there was a story in the Peoria Journal Star the other day about a guy that wants to make colored tires for PU trucks; he had blue ones on his truck.

Yeah kinda like stopping to look a an accident on the hiway

Sorry but I have to be brutaly honest, that looks like crap. Looks like the car is pretty cool otherwise though.

Stopped by the Autorama on Sunday and checked out the "red tires"....think I'll leave mine black! Had the opportunity to check out the Riddler winner up close and personal.....a very, very nice car but perhaps not quite as "WOW" as I expected. The 40 coupe that Dale Besch (SP?) had a few cars away was an awesome, period perfect piece!Overall, the show was a bit of a disappointment but not a bad way to spend a Winter afternoon!

I don't even like whitewalls, much less any other color besides black.  I saw some kind of tire dressing a while back that gave your tires a  colored metallic sheen.
