We had a shop tour in and around the Jackson, MS area on Saturday. Went to 7 shops, made a full day of it.

A street rod is a vehicle made before 1949 that is modified with modern stuff: bigger motors; newer trans; updated suspension, front & rear; a/c.
Following is a street rod plus definition: No known definition because it changes.

You guys sure like Chevys down there.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Uncle Bob

You don't see a '30 Hudson rodded every day either.

Pretty cool stuff there.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity meet.

The owner of the Hudson told me the other day that he has had that car on the road since the mid 1970s. He is the same one that is building the '40 Packard.

The '39 Chevy with the flamed hood has the same owner of the '39 Chevy Coupe that's fixing to be a convertible. Trivia time: The only year that Chevy did not make a convertible was 1939.

Yes, I guess there are a lot of Chevrolets around here.

The website above is not working. I have a 1930 Essex I am rodding and pictures of the 1930 Hudson would be great.

I could not view the link either. But i was able to get there by dropping the www so that it looked like this http://ms-sra.org/msra/shoptour06.htm

It might be a proxy setting somewhere upstream of you. That is what I have run into from time to time. It is an upstream DNS issue.

The site was down there for a while. I have a trouble ticket assigned to it from my hosting company. My e-mail is down also. Can send e-mail, but can't receive.

Well...I found out where the problem was...with my site...my domain name was up for renewal on Feb. 20th when all of this problem started. Now, it is paid up and everything is working again. I thought I had seen where I had been billed for the renewal. I will have to check my records and see.
