I'm getting ready to install my new drivetrain, unfourtunatley I will not get it all done in time for B'Ville, so I am taking that week to do the swap.

SBC 383 connecting to Tremec TACO600
55 Studebaker, Under 3,000 lb.
Street car, not drag racer, I need to be able to hold the
clutch in at a red light.

I have catalogs for Summit, Northern, etc.
and am looking for a kit, T/O bearing, disc, pressure plate,
pilot bushing. I am confused with all the available options.
Please post your advice and testimonials for clutch parts.

TIA

Just stay away from the Centerforce stuff.  Holds great, but vibrates everything loose.  I lost the clips on my clutch linkage and on the shifter links more than once with that setup.  You should be able to run any good diaphram type should be ok.  Just remember to get an external balanced flywheel unless you have had special balancing done on your 383.

Thanks for the heads up on Centerforce.  The Tremec has an internal rail shifter, but a vibration is a vibration - right.

The crank is a new SCAT internaly balanced stroker crank, so I shouldn't
have any problems.
