Brake Problem on 1FATGMC

In Farmington I had to do some running around and it seemed the pedal kept going further down and pumping did nothing.  After probably about 40-50 stops the pedal was gone and on the floor.  Luckly this happen just as I got back to his house.  We put it in his shop and checked things out.  The fluid in the front reservoir of the master cylinder was low, but not to the point of sucking air, but close to it.  

The rapid acceleraton of the problem would worry me. You started with some pedal and then it rapidly degenerated. What caused that? It's possible a stuck brake cable could cause premature wear. I'd pull the drums even if a shoe adjustment restores the pedal. We've had cutomers come back in a few weeks with one side metal to metal due to a frozen cable that was't caught or froze up after the reline.
