I agree about the celeron. For an ex-racer, there is no celeron in my future. I have amd at my house and pent.4 at the office. The amd machine is way faster. It also has a sata drive  but most everything else is the same. I built mine but wouldn't recommend it for someone with limited exp.

All of my machines ( cept for the Macs) have been custom built for me.

I am sure I can assemble a computer,  it is the start up , software loading , operating system deal that has me worried.
