'95 GMC 4X4 5 speed to 700R4

I am going to convert a 1995 GMC pickup 5.7L with a 5 speed manual to a 700R4.  How do I hook up the transmission so the convert will lock up as in a factory 700?  Is there any thing else I should be worried about?

I can not tell you about the electronics part, but, the transfer case input splines are larger on a 5 speed than on a 700r4 truck.  If you wanted to bolt up a t400 trans, and lose overdrive that would work.  I am not sure if the crossmember or driveshafts would havee to change however.  Maybe a 4L80 would work also?

Maybe just easier to sell your truck, and buy one with an automatic.
