Thw  AWD Azteks work well for those living in the snow belts of the USA.

Younger people like the Aztek.... that leaves tomslik out.

Here in Canada we have the 3 imports the Optra,Aveo and Epica.
We were told by GM that the Aveo was only released in the US because of concerns about the UAW and job protection.
That said the Aveo is the best car by far of the 3.
The Epica is a complete disaster. The aveo has been on the road in South Korea for several years so I think they've pretty much got it sorted out.
We have sold around 10 Aveos with no real problems other than the dash clocks reset themselves to 12 over night.
But the fix is done for that.
I'd get the manual trans one just for the fuel economy.
One of our older Techs bought one for his wife and they really like it.
I know it is the one I'd buy if I was looking for a compact at a reasonable price.

it'll be an autobox as i don't want to be putting clutches in it(or any other car unless it's fast). 1mpg ain't enough to get excited about.
gonna take a look at a Scion here in a few and see if she likes them.
i'd feel a bit more comfortable with a 'yota than a daewoo.
i did drive a aveo yesterday, tons a room in 'em, drove decent(needs sway bars) and another 100hp but not bad.

i think this is her way of getting back at me for selling a crosley i had a while back ;)

Let me know if you get it and maybe we can help each other.  There is a 38 Ford truck cab in Billings that I would lie to make an offer on. Shipping is $$$$$$$$$
Were you thinking of driving up to get it or transport ?

I'd go with the Aveo, With the Aztek, either you love them or don't, The people at work that have them say there alittle top heavy,  They didn't sell that great when they frist came out. And GM got rid of the designers.

Best thing to do is take a test drive in the ones your wife is interested in.

around here alot of people are buying the Equinox by Chevrolet
The only dumb question is the one you don\'t ask

Zeb,Cros,

If you happen to go for cars you are looking at, I have a friend here in Helena with a rollback, that get a buck a mile to ship.  Might be able to double up on those.

Crosley, Great Falls is probably closer to 12 hours from Denver.  We are 900 miles from Denver and Great Falls is 90 miles north of us.
