Easy is seldom interesting or obviously, challenging. :) I just had a thought about the trans: how much drag is the pump in neutral? ????? :)

Yep if you never reach for a star, you'll never grab one. Thats for sure.

We just happen to have a hog trike here getting a boo-boo fixed and I was curious what they use. A belt driven diff, of sorts. Then I looked at a coworker's go kart project which has a riding lawn mower rearend.

On my go kart that Dad made, it was a V belt and the "gas pedal" just put tension on the belt.

Torque multiplication experimenting does sound fun. :)

Also yep got latches and other goodies for the 47 today. But. Gonna rain tomorrow so I need to pattern my Mustang tunnel and WAG eyeball driveshaft clearance this afternoon before the engine comes back out.

Challenging ? Easy? Interesting?  That is true I agree.

Its weird with various automotive programs on TV and when a automatic transmission item comes up: my wife will be looking at me for a reaction. Unless I have already blurted out : " what a croc of shat "

What ever TV show that Derick Debirdie is on: Made a comment about maybe 5 ppl in the country know how to work on a Dyna-flow transmission. My wife looks at me: " Is that true?"  My answer was : " with me in there , I know 3 ppl off the top of my head that can rebuild a Dyna-Flow transmission and that is just in Arizona"

I am rambling again. LOL

Spent about 1 hour on my car trailer doing various items that have been "deferred maintenance items" the last few years. Fixing the latch on the storage lid where the spare tire , battery is located.  Battery hold down received some attention.  Vacuum out the dirt debris in the storage area too.

Fixed the plastic latch on my very old shop vac with JB Weld epoxy and some tin metal from duct work removed from our house attic.  Oh , I used small drill bits in the JB Weld too as sorta rebar to beef up the epoxy.  Shift kits for automatics often come with cheapy black drill bits. Over the decades , I have collected a few bits. LOL

We were in Show Low AZ on wednesday.  Snow was falling there.  Light amount. Chilly air temp about 30 as I recall.  Its a 52 mile trip each direction for us. Home Depot, Walmart, Lunch. Walmart was a mad house. I have never seen so many ppl that dont know where the **** they are going. TUrn right, back up , go left, back up. Then the dang Walmart employee shoppers in the way with the large cart.

There was snow storm (mild) on the trip back home. it was north of SnowFlake AZ.  Snow falling  on the windmill electric farm too.

Have I mentioned my wife is a bit clumsy or a klutz ? We were in McD's place for lunch. We have our drinks. Our number is called. I walk up to counter to grab our food. I turn around and soda is all over our table as my wife is trying to mop it up.  I had only been gone 7 to 10 seconds?

We were in Menard's the other day, (big box store similar to Lowe's and Home Depot for those of you outside the midwest) and my wife says we need a new squeegee for the shower. Okay.  We walk down the aisle and see a 3M one for $10, so she grabs it and puts it in the cart. Hmmm, says Scotch on the handle, 3M on the card holding it.  Walk a little farther down another aisle, and there's the Scotch brand for $5 cheaper.  EXACT same squeegee, both have the same name on the handle. WTF?  I'm not paying $5 for 3M's name.  We switched them out.
