Guess I am off here?  I am still looking at various items online.  Craigs List, Facebook Market Place, etc.  I would kinda like a small utility trailer with sides for local stuff , etc..

Some of the trailers (?) ads  I've looked at are just pure over priced junk. The seller does does not even dig the trailer tires out of the dirt for photos.

1st photo listed as 1990 .. Says to bring wheels and tires as 1 tire is shredded and the other is missing.  LOL There is just a spindle there, no hub. Price is $200.00 , No title, no lights

2nd photo is listed as 2025 trailer. Price  is $350.00 , No title, no lights.

I made mine out of a pickup that I was scrapping.  It is okay but it is pretty high off of the ground.  I would like one like they sell at the farm supply stores that has the folding  tailgate/ ramp but I am to tight with my money.  I am just junky.

I agree with you John..  I am tight with cash.   Thanks to the car auctions here in Arizona , the state titles everything  for on road use.  A few construction machines like small concrete mixers are not titled or license plates. I would like to find a trailer I think I need and with a title from Arizona.

Neither of the trailers I posted are of use to me... It is just that I see this crap online with what I view as silly prices on them. Couple of them had 1 or more tire sunk in the ground and flat in the photos.  I would never try to sell something looking like that.  LOL

I know that when I am in Phoenix and need a trailer I go to one of the impound lots and can usually find one that needs minimal repair for a good price. I have done the same in Las Vegas.

I watch a few guvernment surplus auction sites. Nothing has popped up there.  Probably do not "need" another trailer.  But: I look at this stuff.

As I mentioned, a title for these trailers is usually Not available , but often the owner will tell you how easy it is to get a title.  Same for many olde cars.

I have watched Cushman scooters for sale too.  Most of the guys want titles for the scooters too.

In my looking at stuff for sale online..  I found a crosley in Bisbee AZ on Craigs list again.  Many weeks ago it was priced near 5k $$... It is now listed at $2200.00 , still too much money IMHO

It is a rebodied Crosley car. They refer to it as a Clown Car. It is listed as having a title which may be a plus ?

Also found a Crosley in Winslow AZ at a fair price.  I looked at the car a year ago (?) when we visited the Standing on the Corner in Winslow AZ

I can't help noticing how often the Mecum Auction is on TV. There's also a lot of material on YouTube and elsewhere on the internet under the general heading of 'you won't believe what this stuff sells for.' Crazy stuff, like Datsun 240Zs, supposedly worth six figures. If you Google 'how much is (car X) worth' the top of the results every time will trend toward the absolutely most expensive examples of (car X.)

I don't think this is very good for the hobby. Forcing up the cost of starting points for projects puts the cost out of reach for people of normal means. I don't begrudge those whose starting point for planning a project includes a $40,000 roadster Shop chassis, but convincing people a decent Ford Maverick is worth $30,000 results in too much of the limited remaining originals wasting away until they get crushed.

I sold my '67/500 Corvair Sport Sedan four door tonight for $6000.  I was asking $6900.  I had a guy drive up from St. Louis area a couple weeks ago, but he was too big for it.  Woman a couple hours away wanted it, but she was short on cash. This guy contacted me this afternoon asking about it and came to look at it with the whole family, from near Chicago.  With a trailer.  And cash.  They liked the car, and three of the males took it for a ride, and came back and said it had an oil leak.  We put it in the shop and jacked it up and it looked like the trans pan had started leaking a bit.

They talked back and forth in Spanish then asked if I'd take $6000, and I hemmed and hawed for a few seconds and said yes. That's what I was going to accept anyway.  That car didn't leak any oil before they came, but even before they took it for a ride, there was a small wet spot under the car. It sounded like they weren't worried about not being able to fix it. They loaded it up on the trailer after I counted out the cash and I watched them tie it down with maybe six 1.5" ratchet straps, and I asked him if that was going to be enough, and he said he does it all the time.  At least they were new.

Now I have an empty spot in the shop. Hmmm...
