Squeezed in a engine mount change on the daily driver Honda Civic car 2013.. Front of the engine (right side) had sagged and was rubbing on its self. 132k miles , this stuff does not last long any more?

I also drained the automatic trans oil , added fresh oil. Every 5k miles on the trans oil.  Not all the trans oil drains out

OE mount had a wide rubber band  around it , so when it sagged the rubber hits first... The new mount has much larger gap of clearance there.  Car is smoother now..

Looks good Phil. One step at a time, we don't all move like kb. :)
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

Thanks, guys. I didn't do much today, other than sandblast the gas tank door and hinge, and the engine cover latch. I've got them primered and ready for paint. When my buddy stopped the other day, he asked me if I was going to paint the gas tank door, as it wasn't on the car. I said yes. Nope, forgot it sitting on the shelf.

I once painted a dodge colt . I was just using up the last of the paint when I noticed the gas filler door hanging on the wall . JUST enough paint to get it done  :P . I had a friend once in high school that painted his firebird a beautiful candy green . When it was done he noticed that he had missed painting the drivers A pillar . It was still silver  >:( . I once painted a dodge van , the big one that could carry a team . Bodywork so bad I had the paint store sell me the base white , NO toners of any kind to hide the poor work . This thing had to be painted and lettered on a deadline . I got so snow blind I nearly bounced the gun off the side of the van when painting it . You needed sunglasses to look at the thing in direct sunlight !

Just to let you all know, I am dealing with some health problems, nothing that will kill me but pretty much keeping me out of the shop. It is being investigated right now to see if they can find at least a partial cure. I am here every day, and lurk, but I have not had much to say. I'll keep you updated if there is a change.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Just take it easy, Frank. Hope it's not serious.  My body was aching just from painting the car yesterday.

I've been getting headaches since about 2013, and the docs and dentists haven't found out why, yet.  They come and go, sometimes days in a row, other times maybe not for a week. Last Friday, I started taking gummies, 3000mg per day, and it seems to be doing the trick. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

When I was 16, an "old" guy told me to take care of my health, because when you get old, you'll wish you had.  I didn't, and now I wish I had.

Frank: take care. Sometimes age and other things can catch up with us.

I worked on my sister in law's Camry car today.  Installed the new under cover for the engine.  She pulled it off when she pulled too far forward over a concrete parking block that had a piece of rebar sticking up slightly. Only thing she could do was back up with throttle to get the car off the rebar. The under cover splash panel was yanked off

I used a Harbor freight heat gun to soften up the other plastic bits under the front end that were pulled out of alignment , I pushed the plastic around so I could get the bolt holes to line up.

Used some epoxy bonding stuff that Bill (I think) suggested... Glued the small piece that broke out of the bumper cover.. I warshed the cover bits with simple green. Scuffed with red 3m pad.

A quick mention:  It was 2009 November 15th that C9 aka Jay Carnine passed away.  I still miss his stories he wrote about his car projects.

Jay was a master with story telling. I copied most of the short stories he had written from the writers board. Every contact I had with him was very pleasant.
