Youtube has new blocks in place for people that use an adblocker app while viewing videos.  I can not view videos on Youtube. More time on my hands , which actually means: More naps.

Received a item from Amazon today was a new first. Completely wrong item was shipped to me. Received 3 drill bits #7 ....  Should have been 1/4 inch taps.

The ship I was on in the Navy is a Sea, Air, and Space Museum in New York City.  Its a WW II aircraft carrier called the "Intrepid"  They are creating a new display of the area where I worked.  Last week the museum flew my wife and I to New York for meetings with the curators and volunteers to help answer questions about my life and job. Since I was a boilerman, there is a lot of asbestos in the work space, and they cannot take people into that area.  It was an amazing week to go back to places I had not seen in 50 years. We spent the rest of the week seeing the sites and museums of New York City.

I know you guys enjoy this stuff.. A Visit to Home Depot this saturday morning.

I parked Large the Truck out away from the store in open area as usual.  When we return we find what you see in the photos.

The Toyota had been side swiped. It had wrecking yard doors on the drivers side with grease pen markings still in place. The Fjord truck was purty beat up too.

Ya , its me.

Yes, good story, John.  I was in the Army, so I figure nothing I'd been assigned to will still be in operation at all.

Tony, I guess you're just going to have to start being a d*ck and park diagonally across four spaces to keep them away from you.  Either that, or bring orange cones and ropes.

Yesterday I shucked the 22 year old rear window tint, bombed places where bondo is falling off, freed up a door latch, topped fluids, scrubbed bay and jambs and grille moss and whatever the black stuff is if washed yearly. Its shiny and I can stand to look at it better and I can see, and get, out of it better. Biggest challenge was crawling over flimsy sedan front bucket seats in a coupe. O'course there was a dryoff flog after dark.

Friday I hacked an apron off the current horse. Whacked at a front tub.

Not sure I want to be a Richard with parking... Altho I do think about it.  After Home Depot we arrived at Wally World..

At WW...  I wanted a Techron fuel cleaner additive for the daily car. We walk into the isle.. I find the additive as I read labels. Another fellow walks up and of course he needs something directly in front of me. I grab the bottle , step back as he steps in front of me. We walk out of the isle  and my wife starts laughing.  She says: "I can not believe how that happens to you 3 outta 4 times we go anywhere..

There was another "thing" in Wally World..  I should know better than stop in front of the frozen pre-packaged hot chicken wings.

Stopped off to the body shop last night to check on progress and I was happy with the work being done.

As close as they can get to match it. They said they were not able to get an exact match and I new that going into the repair that it wasn't going to match. That is part of the reason for repainting all the exterior at this time.

I have a reprieve from classroom teaching . Our welding teacher is going to be gone for at least 3 weeks and I have been brought back into the shops to teach welding , auto body and industrial arts . I was pleased when my classroom students were bummed out by the news and happy to hear some in the classes get excited that I was going to teach them industrial arts . I will be finishing small engines with them and then do a stint of machining with them . Probably the last group of grade 9's I will ever get to introduce to the wonders of machining  :( . I will also take the time to show/explain how to modify engines to get more power . Might just show them video of when I used to run my front engine dragster with a high school crew .
