Posted by Crosley.In.AZ: I am still causally looking at enclosed trailers on craigs list. In the 6 x 12 foot range size... Some of these units are rough, no title, no plates, rusty, tires that even in small photos look like crap.

I've got one I'm thinking about selling this spring. It might be more than you're looking for tho. It's an R&R model 612VDC, all aluminum, 6X12, V nose, I paneled and insulated all of the inside, added a window on each side, built cupboards for the front and it's got a Progressive Dynamics PD9245C – 45 Amp RV Converter/Charger onboard with an exterior plugin. AC & DC outlets inside. I put a lot of work into it.
I don't have this picture thing figured out yet. I guess we'll see what happens. If you're interested and can't see the pics, I can send them.

Hi George: THat is a nice trailer.  I only need a hauler of stuff trailer.  If I buy a enclosed trailer depends on 2023.  We plan to build a house on our acreage up in the AZ hills or buy a house that needs some changes. Its a numbers game.  How the numbers work will determine.

January car auctions will be here in Arizona soon.  All the older cars on Craigs List will increase in price by 200 to 1,000 percent.

I have my eyes on couple Ramblers and old Chevy van.  Watching.

tomslik, there are very few 'good' Vairs near me for sale. Nearest was about 125 miles, desireable 140hp Corsa, but the rust was terrible. I had to drive 250 miles one way to get this one.  Another 69 in MI, but the guy never returned messages.

Tony, I'm hoping that wagons are still in demand as I'm planning on putting mine on FB Market Place sometime early next year.

Seen a late Corvair running around the area we live in now.  Later model 1967 & up.  It has the trim on the sides and back end, must be upper scale unit.  Rear of the car is very clean, no oil splatter?

Theres a beater Corvair coupe running around here. Used to be a Barracuda like that too. Spotted a 67 Camaro plain green six banger survivor up by work a few times. Heck I saw a moderately worn Rabbit in traffic other day. Still stuff out there.

I was so pleased by the ambiguous appearance of the truck in my last drawing... wasn't trying to make it representational of a specific brand and it could kinda go Ford or Chevy... because I just sat down and drew from my head, no reference... that I have another image in mind. With this rough drafted imaginary car in it. This is a second or third draft, in preparation.

Does this resemble anything too closely?

The art ain't quite there, still defining shapes. First ended up Vega shaped, second looked like a Volvo. Shoebox proportions are what I'm after. Input encouraged.

PS: I put a good, older, made in USA belt on the GT, got rid of the chirp. Holds coolant now too. That whole effort was a must do snafu.

Looks like a '51 Ford2 dr. with a chopped top with more than enough lights on front and some nice custom work in the front. Some radius work to the rear wheel openings. Nice dream! GPster

Thanks GPster, good eye. I had not looked at one of those closely until just now but when I made the first mark, a chopped 50 Ford coupe roofline and overall proportions were what I wanted to draw and go from there. For a vague resemblance in that area. Drew a car under it and was amazed how many cars have a similar roof shape. But for example, the B pillar is tilted on mine and thats different. Maybe its a 50 Ford after a dip in radioactive waste. A mutant.

The 6 lights bong load idea comes from a fake car in a loading image on the videogame GTA San Andreas. Looked like a 67 Imp with two more headights. I also wanted to explore the diagonal headlight stack a la 61 Chrysler 300. But it all bombed in my eyes until I came up with that latest version sporting smile shaped grilles. People love smiles, even on cars.

So what I landed on was a straight vertical lamp stack (viewed head on), supposed to be all the same size lights but the top one is tunneled, bottom one flush then two in the bumper.

What may not come across in drawings is the tilt of the corners of the car. But the front and back ends try to convey that. Further shading required.

Heres a couple prior versions. First one struck me as Vega shape, second one old Volvo. No idea what the rear would look like but if I go that far I'll try to repeat the six element lighting in another crazy way.

A little crazy can be good.

On the top one, top lights have big bezels and high beams don't. Too Fairlane. Grille slots inspired by 70 Chevelle or 13 Impala.

Bottom one was grasping at straws. Everything wanted to make it look like a Bel Air. Saw it looking Volvoesque and stopped. Too much eraser smudge anyhow.

Colored in the more gooder version but was using tracing paper which didn't work well for defining shapes with shading. May end up doing a clay version but those are tougher than a guy might think.Tried that before.

Bike day today . Got stuck in the staff parking lot and spent the next 1/2 hour shoveling out . Then went at both bikes . The Harley got a modified headlight bracket . We switched to a smaller headlight and massaged the mount in the mill to look less bulky . Round over milling cutters are a blessing . The metric chopper got the rear axle with the spear ends installed . I have a construction paper CAD  mock up tank waiting son's approval so just made the tank bottom today . Bent 2/90s in sheet metal and then heated the center strip to just before orange . I had a piece of tube the same dia. as the backbone in the vice and bent the center strip around the tube . A little smacking with a square tube at the edge of the 90 and things look good . I now have a base to tack the tank to while bending it into final shape . Made the base long as I am not sure how long the tank can be until we mount the seat that son is bringing next week .

A good friend caught the lower part of his 34 Ford front fender on the lip of the concrete as he entered the driveway of his shop.  It broke off a chunk at the front of the fender.  I made a template of the other fender to get alignment right and cut a piece of wood to this shape that would hold the two pieces at the correct angle while I prepared and fiberglassed the back of the fender.  Today I prepared the backside of the break and layed up the glass.  In a couple of days I will remove the wood, flip the fender over, V groove the break and fiberglass the outside of the fender. After I finish, it will go off to the body shop for paint.
