Did you get some pictures that you can share?  I watched a vcr video a few years ago about the cars in Cuba, and how they keep them together.  Maybe I should will my 58 Chevy wagon to someone in Cuba after I die...wouldn't that be something?

Sounds like it was a fun trip.

Sounds like a kool trip Joe...  I've seen a couple tv programs about Cuba and the car culture there.

Arrived back home this afternoon.  We left Sunday afternoon on a trip to New River NP in West Virginia, RRT world headquarters, Indiana Dunes NP in northern Indiana, and stopped at the Gateway Arch NP in Saint Louis today.  Good trip, but glad to be home.  We are caught up on the National Parks again.  They had added these 3 recently.  We have been to them all except one, American Samoa NP.

We were cruising down a two lane today, and saw an accident about 1/4 mile ahead of us at an intersection.  A car ran a stop sign and got hit by a semi. We got there and smoke was pouring out from under the hood. I got my FE and headed over, but by then the fire was out. A guy there said water was pouring out of the engine and put out the fire. That was good. The driver was still in the car, and someone had already called 911. He didn't appear to be hurt too badly, as he was talking with the people that stopped to help.

We continued on our way, and I was doing about 70 when I met a Sheriff heading the other way.  OOPS, he hung a Uturn and pulled me over. He asked if I was having a nice day, and I said yes.  I asked if he had gotten the call about the accident, and he said yes, but it was in the next county.  Long story short, he gave me a warning. Nice guy.  First one I've had in many years.

Had a little road trip to see the 5 year old granddaughter do gymnastics. The ages were from 5 to 10. It was an interesting watch. :)

I finished building a T5 this morning, and built a fuse panel for my grandson this afternoon.

I got started on a yard sprayer kart. This is a 5 gallon tank with a 12 v. pump. I'm going to use the 16" wire spoke lawn mower wheels on it. The spray wand will be mounted vertically on the rear and give around a 12" pattern. I'm using a garden tractor battery mounted on the 2 bars at the front. I don't have a huge area to spray but using a hand pump 2 gallon sprayer exceeds my time allotment for that task. :) I'm using left over materials on this so there are some strange arrangements on this project. :)

I replaced the mufflers on the 72 F100. I thought there was a loose baffle in a muffler. With the new mufflers, there's some of the noise still there. Back to looking. :) I welded on the axle tubes for the wheels on the yard sprayer. The axle holes are 8" from the ground with the wheels on. The green paint that I bought for a test is going on this. :) It's going to be too cool to paint for a few days. The radical temp. changes of spring do cause me some concern. :)

Field repair on rv in Albuquerque..  I was checking tire pressure.  left frt tire is off ground due to uneven asphalt. I noticed the tire wiggled around loose.  Lugs were tight, that meant wheel bearings.  Retainer nut was about 2 turns loose.  I found no other problems.  Appears DIY or low level mechanic is at fault.  I will watch these.  I checked other wheels, found other front hub loose by 3/4 turn.

I am in paint and body mode.  I am painting the cowl panel, hood, and grille of the Ranger flat black.  The hood was in really bad shape with lots of dents.  I will block sand and reprime it tomorrow and I hope to shoot color later this week.  In needed some updates to make it easier to sell.

Tony, where are you headed?

East end of road run will be Tennessee , south of Nashville 40 miles.  See our grand kids for about 2 weeks.

Tomorrow we will be in Amarillo if stuff goes smooth.  There has been 2 stops since we left the home area and a field repair at each stop.

What better way to break in a new mill than to machine an O ring groove in a 14-71 blower manifold ? How about doing 2 8) ! Did a couple for a tractor pull friend of mine . New mill is a treat !
