Eggciting thursday here:

More time in the landscape project at the winter location. My landscape rocks next to the carport was 5 different color rocks with red brick type separators.  We wanted one main color and not so many sections.

The long section row photo: I have been working that area for a few weeks when I had time. Removed white rocks, removed red cinders.  I had to sift the rocks as I moved them. They were full of dirt & debris. In the photo the rocks are still dirty , muddy.  Here is AZ we actually will run the water hose over the rocks to clean them since rain fall is low.

2nd photo is near the street. I spent an hour sifting , moving rocks. Removed some scalloped barrier stones and installed the lower flat red stones I removed from another area.  Wife is happy.

Little or no yard maintenance is the key here. Former owner of this place had done little upkeep in years.  She was very old.  Before that this place was a rental.

The last couple of days, I have made phone calls inquiring about delivery time on bodies. I hear 1 year alot. At almost 70 years old, I don't feel comfortable in doing that. Am I wrong to look at it that way? I want to be working on something in the next year. If I quit working, I might find that doing something else is enjoyable. LOL.
I must have missed a post somewhere. What body are you thinking about? Something for a new project?

George, you didn't miss anything. I'm looking towards the next project. Because of the supply chain, if you don't have lots of parts to start with, you'll be doing nothing for quite a while. I was looking to see if that is even possible right now. :)

Hey! Its dirt and rocks.  8)  Which kinda got me thinking about the cycle of life.  As a youngster I played in dirt, rock , threw dirt clods and rock. Probably ate some dirt too? Now I am playing in the rocks and dirt again?  I am a bit less than 2 yrs from 70 , if I make it.  ;D

Have you guys seen an increase in sales emails from online vendors you have bought product from?  Tool vendors, raw material vendors, welding supplies, Home Depot, Lowes.

January 2022 I started receiving an increase in sales emails.  Some vendors I had never received sales emails because I had requested NO sales emails from them.

A few of these vendors use a 3rd party marketing firm. Those were a PITA to stop.  One of them did not have an "unsubscribe" button in the email. I contacted the vendor and the marketing firm explaining the missing unsubscribe button.

I must have too much time on my hands some days?

Yes I noticed that too. I am seeing emails from vendors I haven't used in years.

Hey guys. If a man wanted to build this car, what catalog would you guys reckon he'd need?

Good eye, GM guy. :)

Love the truck style and heft, can't live with the excess bulk. Close call, a hatchback blipped the radar at one point during the mission.

That was durn near more work than fun. Just to prove out a whimsical fantasy that lingers in my mind. Started out using a 70 GMC pic so maybe we could call it a Sprint Car. Ha. Or a Sprint-10? As in C-10. Did the initial pancaking on the computer. It was quite a time burner generating the tighter, inked line drawing (not shown) then to trace it over the makeshift lightbox so I could just sit back and color.

Root idea was to leave the truck width and scale down the aerodynamics to el Camino size. Or so. Nova size might also be interesting. To me, that blue profile screams F-85 which was a bit of a suprise. The lines work for a car though, as suspected. A bit more stodgy looking than I'd like, maybe. Went with post coupe because I am an off-brand underdog-dish base model lover. I want to try a square body also.

Question in my mind at the moment is whether to continue, with some end or quarter angle views. Is it worthy? I lean towards yeah would like to see. But which grille? Left out side markers but could use them split horizontally.

Yes I noticed that too. I am seeing emails from vendors I haven't used in years.

I received more email sales from CPO Outlets and Orange Aluminum.

I am on the 4th "unsubscribe" with Orange Aluminum.  I bought some angle aluminum from them on eBay in April 2021.  I had no emails till january 2022 from Orange Aluminum.

Bought a tool or 3 from CPO Outlets over 1 year ago. No emails from them till January 2022.  I will send in 3rd request on "unsubscribe"

Today is the test and tune day for Sick Week 2022 in Florida. A lot of the fast cars from Hot Rod Drag Week and Rocky Mountain Race Week are running in this event.  It is live on You tube.  Do a search if you are interested.  I will have in on live in the shop this week.  Which means not much will get done but that will not be a lot different than any other week.  Very fast street driven cars.

Finished another painting today. Acrylic, on hardboard, 18" X 24". Named it "Over the Hill". 😀 About 20 hrs into it.
