Sirstude my heart goes out to you . It is truly heartbreaking when someone so young passes away. I am a high school teacher and have seen this many times. Take care of yourself and family .

Doug, so sorry for your loss.  I know these must be difficult days for you.  Our thoughts are with you.  From what I read, he must have been a very special young man.

Doug, so sorry to hear of your loss. Hug his mother, she will need it.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Doug, you and your family have my sympathies. I don't know of anything else to say.  :(

That's terrible news Doug. The obituary is fine tribute to his life cut short by fate.

I sold the 1955 Ford f100 this morning.  I owned it less that 24 hours.  I am nearly out of the Ford business.

My plans are to spend some money on the old WZ JUNK truck.  I renewed the licenses on Thursday.  The lady asked if I wanted 1 or 2 years and I said to her that I had owned it for 34 years and I anticipated owning a while longer so I would go for the 2 year tag. :)

I was a carpenter today. I think I'd rather build hot rods. :)

I have an extra 2000 Ford Ranger that I bought for parts when I was building the 460/Ranger. Actually I have next to nothing in the vehicle.  In the back of my mind I thought I might put an LS in it for fun.   It runs and drives but it needs a water pump and a radiator.  It is hard looker but would be good for a farm truck.  I listed it on Marketplace for $750 .   It has been crazy today.  It will be interesting to see what it brings.  People must not read ads. They ask questions that are clearly stated in the ad.  They make offers on something they have not seen.  How stupid is that? They expect me to consider that a bonified offer?  I will update everyone when this whole story plays out to the end.

This was an interesting experiment.  I had more than 60 inquires and there were some real strange ones. A guy offered me $500 cash, I took it.  I am out of the Ford Ranger business.  It was a fun project but I am ready to move on.

I returned from Salina. Good show, good time. I drove in the rain for 150 miles going up on friday morning. We had 2 of the best days you will ever have at a car show. No moisture and moderate temps. I don't know what the car count was. I saw 1874 on friday and there are always more on saturday. Interesting mix of cars and people. :)

I needed some wind vans for a project not related to automobiles.  I bought a couple of $2.50 balls at Walmart and I will use them for the plugs for the vanes.  They fit nicely on the top of a 5 gallon plastic bucket.  I will make up a couple a day for the next few days.  I need 8 total. Before I add the laminate to the ball, I wax the ball, then I deflate the ball after the glass hardens, and the fiberglass part pops off the ball.

Photos posted in the reverse order and I am to tired to fix it
