Sorry I'm so dramatic.

Posted a bunch of junk to make up for it and even left some for later. Good visit with family today, and briefly chasing sundown in the 69 next. 8)

I killed 5 more scorpions in my back yard saturday evening. It was a bit warm here today. As it warms up , the scorpions come out after the sun sets. That is 14 scorpions in the last few days.

I went to the drag racing track today also but it was a swap meet.  Didn't find anything on my list but I still had a good time.  
I took the 46 out far a shake down and meet up with Don.  
The 46 seems a little loose in the front end with the coil overs, may need another alignment.
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

In the last couple months: On the weekends I've been watching early reality TV shows.  The Lone Ranger , Bat Masterson ....  :D

With the SAT service DirecTV , I can view the cast names of each show. It is weird (?) to read the cast bio where they were born in the 1880s to early 1900s..  Just an observation.

I watch the background in the scenes as much as the  story line...    Some of these shows were very basic in those days of early TV.. The Lone Ranger from horse riding scenes in the mountains, then it changes  to the sound stage as they ride the animals in to camera view.  Crudely done... At the end of the day, they got the job done.

And: since my hearing is now so bad I use the closed caption on these TV shows.  That can be goofy too.  5 to 10 words ahead of the scene or behind.

Washing trucks before lunch. Had a nice Easter lunch with the kids. Then I aligned the front end on the 51 again. I don't know if the adjusters are moving or if my lack of a level floor is causing my lack of success.  I shim up the truck to make it level but there is still room for error, and human error. :)

Yes, Tony. I submitted it to BAT and was turned down. Since I started going to rod shows, the bike has gotten little use. The dr650 is the one I ride most of the time. I will try Craig's list next.

Next on the list of tasks: Finishing the seat in the 72 F100. This is a pic of it disassembled. The head rests were the trickiest to figure out how they were done. :) I'm still learning with each adventure. :)

The seat back had 10 panels to sew together. I have 2 more to go. I had a full day and the mental power went south. :) I was pretty cautious in cutting out the patterns and the material. I ran across a video where the guy glued the material to the scirmsew when doing contoured backs. I did that and I think it is better than what I've done before.

I've been ripping my front porch cover apart.. rotted wood repair. I am learning how whiz poor the hot mop roll roofing  was installed years ago.

To be honest, I noticed a problem with the roof 2 years ago..  I decided to wait till retirement ver 2.0 to replace the wood.  Likely I will hire a roofer to re-roof the porch.  I doubt my body is up for the roofing .


I bought some exterior plywood , 2x6 boards , misc stuff for the job. I need about 70 feet of 2x8 fascia board still.  Fascia boards are in rough shape.  If you have heard about the cost of wood going way up fast..  that is true

I worked on the T some more today and todays task was to stuff the engine back into the chassis. That actually went pretty good!  I am now down to the part where I have to formulate a floor plan for the front.  I am thinking of going stock material for floor boards. Model T's used wood floors in the front and where the pedals penetrate. I think I am going to do the wood from the front to the back. The OEM fit in the front would be perfect for wood and going that way I can make the new firewall fit and meet the floors at a 90 deg angle. This simplifies the meeting of the floors and firewall and I can save a bit of labor and time building by not building a 16 to 18 Ga steel floor.

Looks like I may have a perfect place for the column to go through the floor and not interfere with the brake pedal. But like everything you have to fit things, Then take them apart and put them together again only to find part B is in the way of part C and part C won't fit with part A and B.  Arggggg. Makes me Nauseas! I also added a couple of body pictures one showing the body sitting down nice on the frame and another from the rear and it looks pretty level. Oh the first picture is of the front floorboard idea..

Here's the seat back minus the arm rest. I duplicated how Ford used backing on the cover and it ended up being a problem on the corners on the sides. The vinyl with the scrimsew was too thick for me to navigate the radiuses without some bunching of the material. I'm not ready to rip it all apart yet. I'm going to give it some time and see if it relaxes some.
