Will a limited-slip unit from a 2:56 chevy rear end fit in a 3:73 carrier unit without any trouble?
I know some of the High geared carriers will not accept a low geared ring and pinion.  I'm just
not sure about the Posi units. I have a chance to get a firebird 2:56 posi rear end complete for
a song.  The complete rear end is too long for my coupe, but I could put the Posi in one of the units I
have if it will swap.

You can do it with a ring gear spacer.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I thought that back in the day you could ad spacer.
I haven't heard of anyone doing it lately.  Seems
like alot of things I used to know are hung up
on my Floppy Disc somewhere.

Thanks Frank

Quote from: "kb426"I found this:

I have that article, and I have the book they are referring to,
but I still wasn't clear in how to do it.  Frank came to the
rescue again.  I had completely forgotten about the spacer.

Thanks KB426
