Hey I may be creepy but I'm not lurking, I'm posting! :)

Oh, wait...

I am afraid I might get awful sentimental sanding off my old flame job, John.

But! If you'd like some freebie renderings I need a new practice subject. ~:)  I build excitement, haha. Being a Pontiac guy and all.

F1 man might have settled on a single scoop cup of vanilla ice cream type treatment. The last pic on the blog yesterday may have made him queasy.

I started cutting in and welding the louvered panels from my original hood sides onto the hood sides I made for the car . I am going to use a 3 pc hood with removeable sides so I can go full hood or without sides

It has already started.  I may have to remove the engine/transmission together to get the transmission out.  I thought that I had removed the transmission once years ago but now I am not sure.  It is starting to look like everything was in place before I installed the cab.     I do not know what the idiot was thinking when he built this piece of junk.

Well I managed to get a twist in one hood side that will "pop" back to straight if I push it . I will have to beat and grind on this thing a bunch . I am thinking I may have to slice it from the back edge to the louvers and see if that will take the twist out . That is the side with warpage .

In order to remove the transmission from the WZ JUNK truck, I had to saw the crossmember in two near the right side.  Today I built a fixture to align the two halves.  I cut out an oval shaped flange and welded it in place to be able to bolt the two halves back together.  Now I can reinstall the transmission crossmember a piece at a time.  I think the reason I was unable to remove it as one unit is that I had installed it originally before the cab was on the chassis.  That, and other pieces, were put on the truck that made it difficult to remove.

I had just enough room to side slip the transmission out from under the truck.  It was a blessing that there was enough room.  It could have turned out just that much not enough very easily.  That is the way thing usually go for me.

Finshed this today, been an off  and on project for about two weeks. Acrylic paints on prepped wood panel. 27.5" high by 25.5" wide. Probably 10-12 hrs in it.

I bought these several years ago. They are not the genuine versions. They had seen their better days. I striped the coating and checked for cracks. A couple of days ago, when cleaning out the shop, I decided to apply black wrinkle and bring them back to life. I sanded off the ribs this morning and will carefully find a storage place for them for time being.

That painting is fantastic.  8)

The art that is the car ain't too shabby either.

Nor is the impromptu valve cover re-vamp. :)

Here is my contribution. 50 Lincoln tail lights. Those are tough to argue against, look good, and require little mod.

Owner was "impressed" but I don't know by what... choices or images. :?

Matt, the taillight choice would be good. Is that the exhaust outlet in the fender?
