2020 .. What are you doing today?

To complete my sprinkler project, I need 8 heads that nobody had. The factory said they would ship them right out. My version of right out might be a little bit different.

The yard is 90% backfilled and waiting. This morning, I removed an oil filter adapter off a chevy front wheel drive and replaced a gasket. It wasn't as bad as I expected. It was plenty oily, though. I try to avoid working on fwd's , period.

It was hot here today, by Michigan standards, over 90 and humid so I powerwashed the garage/shop before 9 this morning and spent most of the rest of the day in the AC painting. I finished this one, an exercise in chrome and reflections. A weak point of mine, but it's the only way to get better. Fairly happy with the results.

I see some form of improvement in almost every painting you post.
It just did a little bit of rain here. Some of the front yard is under water. I won't have to worry about water packing anymore.

Latest shipping debacle with USPS happened to my wife. Product ordered on July 10th. From New Jersey.

it took 8 days to arrive at the Los Angeles CA distribution center. Then 6 days to arrive at Carson CA... then 1 day back to Los Angeles Distribution Center..

Then July 25th , it arrived at the Phoenix AZ Distribution center.. I received an email telling me today (26th) the package was in transit and arriving late. LOL

Also: I ordered 2 chainsaw chains on eBay.. Estimated to arrive in 7 days from Utah? I was not given a tracking number, so I knew I was screwed. After package arrived 21 days later, I had a tracking number on the package from new Jersey..... After 2 days the package arrived at DHL, where it was held for 10 days before it was tracked again coming across the USA ...

Currently I am in a dispute with a seller on eBay again.. Not sure how that will end up. 10 weeks, no product, no refund. Seller keeps offering to ship another product, I keep asking for a full refund. Ebay says it will decide on July 30th on who wins?

For the time being: I have removed all my items from eBay. Will not purchase any more items on eBay.. I guess if I can not buy it local in front of me, not going to make a purchase. My wife thinks I am over reacting.

We have plenty of toilet paper and paper towels for now.

Just sticking head in door to say howdy. Howdy. Nothing to report. Theres been a little activity on the 59 job. Haven't noticed anything new on the '30 and I am still on the '51 cab but new bed and fenders are in. Recently did small jobs on a couple other vehicles. My cars all work but theres no A/C among them. If no news is good news, I'm all set!

Shipping is turning into a nightmare. I bought a couple things from a guy in Denver, CO. He shipped on the 17th from a Denver area satellite office and it got to the Denver distribution center on the 25th and left there the 25th, arrived in Pittsburgh today and left today. Common sense has left the room.

I have a package that sat 24 days in the distribution center in Oak Park Il, and has now Been in the distribution center in Allen Park Mi for a week.

What is a good landmark on Ohio 2 near the airport to meet a guy coming from Philly to get a deck lid from me? Trying to set something up.

I had around 3" of rain yesterday evening. It just cut loose again. Water packing by mother nature in force.

Not sure yet. He is checking on borrowing a truck or SUV to carry a '40 Ford coupe deck lid. He's got til Wednesday to sort that out. I'm thinking Friday or Saturday at this stage. I'll keep you posted.

We will stop by your place around the noon hour. Our meet time at Baymont is between 1 & 2. Then I have to swing up to Livonia for a BMW bumper cover....if the guy ever messages me back.

Would love to see Shelby and her kids but she needn't make a special trip out of it.
