I have never made my own AN lines but I think I might give it a try.  I need to make the lines that will connect my oil filter adapter to my remote oil filter.  They will be about 1 foot in length.  I would appreciate any thought or recommendations before I proceed.

The only thought I will add is always put oil or some kind of lube on the threads on the nipple where it screws into the collar on the fitting. Anodized alum really is prone to galling.

Good point. I have always used anti-seize on the threads. I have never had a problem with galling.
